Maritza encourages fellow students to not be intimidated by fear. “So many of us, especially when applying to schools, internships, scholarships, or even enrolling in new classes, let the fear of failure or rejection stop us from taking bigger leaps. That fear shouldn’t prevent you from clicking the submit button or sending that recommendation request. You never know what could happen, but absolutely nothing will happen if you don’t take the chance. Fear shouldn’t be our weakness; it should be our strength, something that pushes us to keep going and pursue our goals.”

Requirements:
Sophomore level class standing (2028 graduation date)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale or equivalent)
Demonstrated leadership experience
Record of high achievement, self-motivation, ability to multi-task and a strong work ethic
Availability to commit to two consecutive dates in August
Interest in any of the following career fields:Actuarial Science, Claims, Finance, Investment Management, Marketing, Operations, Technology & Data, Risk Management, Underwriting or other insurance related careers
