The National Science Foundation has announced Connecticut’s initiative as one of the few finalists for the Engines Program. The Southern team, lead by the CSCU Center for Nanotechnology, is playing an instrumental role in the workforce development initiatives.
The Innovation Hub is thrilled to announce our first Emerging Technologies Forum, taking place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 101 College Street in New Haven. This powerful event is designed to foster engagement around educational and career pathways in emerging technology among students, educators, community leaders, and industry professionals.
Ingrid majored in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry before graduating in Spring 2025. Her work with Pfizer this summer allowed for a deeper understanding of nitrosamine formation, which are carcinogenic under favorable conditions that occur during tablet manufacturing. On campus she was involved with the Women in STEM Excellence (WISE) Club. She was also part of the Center for Nanotechnology and encourages other students to apply as it gave her technical, professional, and most importantly, presentation skills.
